The major equity averages are down narrowly this morning. The lackluster action comes as many market participants opt to play things cautiously ahead of the FOMC policy statement due later today.
Despite the interest in staying safe, defensive-oriented Consumer Staples stocks are down a sharp 0.7%. Most of that is owed to a precipitous drop in shares of Procter & Gamble (PG 59.99, -2.22) to a new 2012 low following the company’s profit forecast cut.

The company has acquired properties covering 1,148 acres all located in the State of Texas, USA. Paradigm Oil and Gas, Inc., (PDGO) announced Monday that Todd Violette has been named as its new CEO and controlling shareholder to lead Paradigm in expanding its operations and to seek new opportunities that could grow the Company and achieve its production goals.
